How this is calculated
- •Hike % = (new salary − current salary) ÷ current salary × 100. It's the same whether you enter monthly or annual figures — just keep both on the same basis.
- •The currency you pick only changes how amounts are displayed. The percentage is identical in every currency.
- •Real hike adjusts for the inflation you enter: (1 + hike) ÷ (1 + inflation) − 1. We never supply an inflation figure — you type your own.
- •A pay cut shows as a negative hike. A hike from a current salary of zero is left blank, since a percentage increase from nothing isn't defined.
